Important Announcement: Parrothead Cruise 2012 is officially cancelled

Registration for the event has fallen below the point where we could viably produce an quality Parrothead Cruise event

For Those Wishing To Go To Panama
Our travel partner Destiny Group/Elite Tours is still very much looking forward to hosting us. All of the travel and tour amenities they are providing will remain the same: Elite will provide airport transportation, hotel accommodations in Panama City, a city and canal tour, a Panamanian lunch and dinner in Panama City and transportation and lodging at the Bijao Beach Resort. All of the all-inclusive amenities at the Bijao remain the same as well. We’ve visited both the Panama City hotel and the resort and can tell you personally that it is beautiful, and the arrangements that Elite has made for us are superb. It really is perfect for a phlocking of Parrotheads. Elite also wants to make sure that everyone knows there is plenty of room for people to join, so please encourage your family and friends to come along.

What is Changing
The “Phlocking” aspects of this trip have been eliminated. This means that we won’t be bringing our own Trop Rock entertainment with us, we won’t have any of the usual Parrothead Cruise games or events, and this will not be a fundraiser for charity. It will simply be a fantastic vacation in a beautiful country with friends.

If you wish to cancel, all cancellation requests received by January 31, 2012 will receive a full refund of all deposits and payments made. You may cancel by calling 407-504-3815 (typically only staffed on Mondays) or by sending an email to agents@parrotheadcruise.com

We know that many people will be disappointed. We know we are. The simple reality is that we tried something new but for various reasons it just didn’t work out. The Atlanta Parrot Head Club is committed to delivering great Parrothead Cruise experiences. This adventure had potential, but ultimately didn’t succeed. We hope that in the future we’ll have another great Parrothead Cruise event.

Revised Trip Details
We'll travel from the Panama City airport by private transportation and be taken to the Continental Hotel and Casino in Panama City where we'll spend two days learning about and exploring this beautiful country. The following day we'll enjoy a guided tour of the cultural and historic highlights of the city followed by a visit to a modern marvel of engineering, the Panama Canal. During our excursion we'll also be treated to a Panamaian lunch and later in the evening a Folklore Dinner and Show.

The following day we'll board private transportation bound for the super-inclusive Sheraton Bijao Beach Resort! We'll spend the next six days at this luxurious beachside resort, and when we say super-inclusive, we mean it. Our price includes all meals and snacks from all four of the onsite restaurants, all the top-shelf liquor, wine and beer you could ask for, including chair-side service on the beach and from the pool's swim-up bar. On Saturday, March 17, 2012 our adventure will conclude with private transportation back to the Panama City Airport
